A letter from our Chairman

You may be aware, last year we raised an incredible £30,000+ at our first O.K. 10k event. As Olivia’s family and Trustees of the charity, we were overwhelmed with the amount of money raised and the effort everyone went to.

We are now in a position to provide an update on how your money will be used. We have been working closely with the charity Neuroendocrine Cancer UK to get their advice and support on where the money (grant) is best placed. Our plan is to fund a unique research project into Neuroendocrine Carcinoma(NEC), which will be in Olivia’s name, combining funds raised in 2025 with 2026. The Trustees will check the credentials of those involved and monitor it's progress to ensure they meet the criteria and objectives of our charity. Finding the ideal research project and going through the assessment process could take a while so its unlikely the grant will be given before December of this year.

In order to get the project off the ground, we need more fundraising. Last year, we used Givewheel and  are doing the same again for O.K.10K 2026. If everyone who has signed up, could set up a page here and raise just £50 in individual sponsorship from their family, friends or colleagues, it would provide over £15,000 for our total.

One of Olivia's biggest wishes in the last months of her life was to raise awareness and improve treatment options for Neuroendocrine Carcinoma (Cancer). Please help us to make this difference.  We are determined and committed to making this wish a reality.
